LCA Bushings
I ordered the Energy Suspension Poly Bushings to replace the torn LCA OEM ones on my 04 LX. I've searched on some of the other posts, and some say you definitely need a press to remove one of the bushings and others say you can remove with a sawzall and a chisel. Which one is it? I don't want to find out that I can't remove the bushings after I have the LCA's off. I saw this tool, and was thinking this might help to push them out (if it's even needed), although it looks like it wasn't designed for Honda's, so I'll have to call to make sure:

I was also thinking of getting one of the ball joint lifter tools like the one in the following link, as I saw this mentioned as making the job easier:
http://www.amazon.com/Tool-Aid-61900...0&sr=1-1-spell
Are these tools required, or will they make things easier?
This site has a good DIY, although not related to Civic's. Do you think this DIY applies?

Thanks

Re: LCA Bushings
there was also a ball joint remover kit at sale in the harbor freight that had the exact same tool in the civic workshop manual, i did wait for it to be shipped when i could get it anytime... It looks similar to the amazon one. Get them! I had the car for 3 days in a jack and lots of WD40, but it did not even budge. When i used the tool, it came off in 1 minute.
For the bushings, i used in a miata a normal C-clamp and some pipes from a hardware store.
You could also try to check this here, for mazda miatas

Re: LCA Bushings
When I redid the rear shocks on my 96 Accord, I used a torch to burn the rubber out of the bushing. I then took a hacksaw, and cut through the outer metal ring. Popped right out. As for getting the new ones in, you can use c-clamps and pipes. It will be a lot easier though to just get the old ones pressed out, and the new ones pressed in.
