mileage question
hey ppls
is there something wrong with my car when it only gets about 310 miles a tank?
cause that's all i'm getting or that's what my trip meter and gas gauge is telling me.
anyone else getting the same readings?

That is actually quite poor. I get like 370 miles on a tank of gas. Next time u fill up check to see how much gas it took. The tanks in our cars are 13.1 gallons. So if it only takes like 10 gallons then you still have a lot of gas left and can prob go the extra 50-60 miles. Don't go by what the guage says there's a good chance it is off. The gas light (at least in my car) seems way more accurate. It comes when on when I have 11.1 gallons left. I suggest you wait for the light to come on then fill the tank and see how much it takes. Then you have an exact measurement of how much is left in the tank. I get like 32mpg on average. I also suggest that you figure your MPG.
Hope this Helps

ok...maybe i shouldn't be complaining then. It's just that i hear ppl who get like 350-400 miles per tank and was wondering if there was something wrong with my car.

YES LA traffic sucks...good thing i drive the other way most of the time
could the gas i use affect my mileage? cause i use 87 octane

your car was built for 87 octane... use 87 octane... otherwise you'll buy more expensive gas and defeat the purpose of trying to save money on gas.
You should start keeping exact track of your mileage... I've made a mileage calculator/log which works in MS Excel... if u wanna get ahold of it just email me.

i get over 400 miles on a tank unless i fill it early. if i really wanted to push it to the limit i could get 500 without running out of gas (but i would be close) i have a 5-speed ex coupe and i have been getting 39.1-39.6mpg for the past 5 tanks, except the last time i filled up i got 41.5

>>You must have a lot of highway Or just know how to "coast" with a 5-speed
Thats great mileage !!!!
Wild! I've been getting between 34 - 40 since I've had my car. With 25k miles now, my last tank was 39.8 mpg and I can usually drive 400-425 a tank.
I fly at 80 on the freeway 80% of the time. The other 20% is around town.
