Yup! I broke the mount on the drivers side right by the brake fluid resrvoir. Dunno how I did it (maybe barking tires in second ) but I broke it good. Whole damn car vibrates now, but it's going in the shop tommorow morning. This just means another few days in a POS rental....BTW, when I was looking for what caused the vibration all of a sudden, (in the dark so the mount wasn't obvious) I pulled out the coil packs and to my dismay there is rust inside the coil chambers and the plugs look awful as well. I'm going to make them replace my coils and plugs because it looks real bad. I thought when I pulled them out the tube would still be shiny. My car is just at 1 yr old and has only 12,000 miles on it. Might wanna start checking your coils too because I noticed at least one of them has a crack in the shaft that extends to the plug.

I ruptured the same mount on my '99 DX. I had always assumed it was from accelerating too hard, I hadn't thought of the 2nd gear chirping. Maybe it's a combo of the two.

I got them to fix it, but they said they would only warranty it one time because they think I race it. Well, I do race it, but that's beside the point. From what I hear they snap like twigs when you race them...it seems to be a problem with all of our cars. Seems to me that its a weak mount if it can't handle the power of the engine it holds in place.

It seems to be a problem with a lot of stock mounts when you race. My friend has a Rustang and has gone through countless mounts. You can get stiffer mount inserts that should be able to handle the engine torquing over, but the ride is going to be rougher - you'll get more engine vibration throughout the car.
