I have noticed resently that my engine is whistling when the car is on my car just reached 140022 miles i don't want to get a tune up case its going to cost me a lot and it may be something simple. I mostly hear it at drive throughts cause the sound it bouncing off the wall but i hear it a little when i drive and dont hear it at all if the window is closed. It could also be the brakes cause i hear it more when im stopped. Please help if you know about it.

It could be a multitude of things... Might wanna check your belts. Do you have an aftermarket intake? If you do it may need to be cleaned or replaced. Could mean that your a/c compressor may need to be lubricated too. I would have to hear the sound to be able to diagnos it better, but check those things first. Have someone give it some gas while you got your head under the hood and see if you can pinpoint the sound.
