Help!! Clicking/popping noise
Well I recently bought another 02 civic ex coupe 5speed. While driving it, usually while coming outta first gear and after shifting into second you can hear a clicking/popping noise. Seems like only when the car is moving and under a good amount of torque. The honda shop told me it was the compliance bushings. They wanted 450 bucks so I decided to do it myself.
I did everything right as I am somewhat mechanically inclined. The bushings didn't look too bad as compared to some of you on here. Anyway...the popping is still there. Only happpens going stright, no louder when turning or anything and the allignment shop said everything looks good to them, as in the CV axles and stuff. The struts dont appear to be leaking so I have no clue what else it could be. Any ideas?

Re: Help!! Clicking/popping noise
I bought a used 04 dx. I had the same problem. For me it was actually coming from a rim that was not sitting flush. The sound was accompanied by shaking at 70 mph. I would take out the spare and throw it on a wheel and drive it around. Test all four wheels that way and if it stops have someone check out the rim. If that is the problem also replace the bolts for the lugnuts. 2 of mine snapped off after replacing the rim with one from the dealer.
