sorry if theres already a thread about this, but my girlfriends got an 03 civic ex sedan, and since she bought it, the airbag indicator has been on. she took it to the dealer where she got it, and they shut it off...and it stayed off...for about 15 minutes, then came back on, and has stayed on. what can be done about this? is there any sensors or anything i should check it make sure theyre in tight? any other tricks to get it to go off? thanks for the help!

is it the SRS light or the side air bag light

im assuming the side airbag light, its got a diagram of a person sitting down with a big circle in front of it, if that makes any sense.

hmm ive never heard of this, but does the car come equipped from factory with side airbags? if so that could be the problem. My stock seats with side air bags would cause the light to flash and sometimes stay on, but my light just reads SIDE AIR BAG.
Make sure nothing is leaning against the seat. If this continues to be a problem ask the dealer to check. the light actually turns off the airbags.

i dont believe its got factory side airbags, ill have to look in the manual tomorrowand check it out

just look at the side of the seats and see... if there's a plastic rectangular thing then it does.

i think there is a fault with the airbag system if the light came back on. its an actual problem that needs to be fixed otherwise the airbags will not deploy if the have a crash with the light on.
