engine mounts

i have a 2003 civic lx coupe with a manual transmission. my motor mounts were bad so i decided to replace them. i bought the set on ebay and today when i was changing them i noticed that one of them was different. it seems like theres an extra piece attached to it. anyone know what this piece is for? do i need it? is it ok to just install the new one? thanks you
