AC Voltage

Hey Guys. I haven't been on in a while. Just wanted to leave a quick concern.

At night while I have my headlights and AC on I noticed at a light my lights will be dim till I begin to accelerate. I was looking at the voltage and it would be sitting at 12.6 while they are dim, then I would hear the compressor kick in and it would hit 12.4 then right after start climbing up to about 13.7 It will take it about 10 seconds to go up to 13.7 and then the compressor will kick in and it will drop back to 12.6-12.4 and once again start the cycle.

I am guessing when I am driving then my voltage is always around 14-14.4. To me I believe this is normal and it means all my parts are working the way they should (hopefully). Just wanted to hear everyone's input. Thanks

Re: AC Voltage

seems normal. the stock 70 amps only go so far, and you are using alot of accessory at once esp at night.

Re: AC Voltage

The ELD system does some strange things with the voltage control. (I had a volt meter for a while)

I notice my wipers sometimes slowing mostly. I must say this is one of the only Japanese cars I have owned where the lights do not dim at idle, almost all the others did.

I would imagine the A/C would be a factor.

Re: AC Voltage

Yeah. I noticed my idle likes to jump around a bit even when I unlock my doors. Sometimes the car scares me and I feel that it is going to die but then from what everyone says it looks like it is just how it acts. I think I am expecting too much out of this car.
