Rep Power: 0 LX/DX vs EX axle
I there a difference in the axles, because i have a 2002 ex civic and i have a 2001 lx/dx tranny, both manual. For awhile my car has been making noises when i make only right turns, but it's quiter when i put the clutch in. My buddy is saying that my axle is coming out of the tranny because something is broke or not long enought. My front end might still be bent from my accident, so thats a possiability too. So what do you guys think?

the only difference between the EX and LX/DX axles are that the EX ones have an ABS ring on the outer joint cup. There is no difference where they go into the trans. If one of them was comming out of the transmission you wouldnt be moving and the transmission would have lost most of its fluid. The auto and manual driveshafts are different lengths so you have to stick with manual axles for the EX since you have ABS.
