Re: wiring an 03 sedan cluster into an 01

I am looking into this myself. I got a 2001 civic dx, 5 speed. I am planning to put a 2001/2002 Lx 5 speed cluster in mine. On my car its a direct swap, but got to get the mileage programmed. In my research 2002/2001 (lx to dx) are possible, but not ex since it has abs. If lx has abs and the dx dont, then no swap.

you can go here for reprogramming mileage www.specmo.com

hope this information helps.

I learnt a little bit more. I will find out more soon, i think there are some issues when it comes to security, some times the ecu thinks its getting robbed and shuts the engine off. I am not sure but I heard of these instances. I also heard of able to reset and reprogram itself by doing a series of steps.
