yeah yeah, what is up with my Tranny!! Shaking!

ok, so before you go off on me i did do a search. Seems people have had this similar problem. I have a 2004 LX sedan manual with 33,000 mi. My car shakes from moderate to violently when i drive from neutral to 1st, and 1st to 2nd. It started to do it sporadically but now it does it more and more. It tends to not happen when i first drive the car out for the day or night but as i break in the car throughout the day, this is when it gets worse. I really believe it is the transmission but on other posts i heard it may be the engine mounts. I had a regular maintenance done on my car for the required 30,000 mi checkup and when that was done the car was driving like new , but after a week the car started shaking again. I told the dealer about the problem and they said that they could not find a problem. Damn! Any thoughts on this would be helpful before i bring it in again to the dealer. thanks.

check the mounts to see if there is any damage or wear on them..most cars with swaps rattle more than a didlo cause they use aftermarket mounts.

Try another dealer, or an independent shop. The may not be finding any problems because it's under warranty, and they'd have to fix it for free. Tho, that shouldn't matter, 'cause the dealer would still get paid, just by honda and not you.

^^ X2. Dealerships aren't always what they should be cracked up to be. It all depends on who puts their hands on your car. Find a good independent that knows Hondas. They're out there.

Just thought of something... Check if all your plug wires are attached properly. My engine had the shakes once and it turned out that a plug became defective and the engine was losing compression. SO check you plugs and wires. Easy enough!

Um... How do your tires look? I had the same problem and I also needed new tires. Bought new tires and the problem went away. I thought it was the clutch but noticed that it was when tires were cold that it would slip or shake.
