Exclamation Temp Gauge is actin' a fool!!

Here is my situation...car has been runnin' fine for a long time...i have an 01 Civic EX Coupe...minor mods, i/h, cam gears, pulley kit...starting driving my car the other day and the temp gauge is slowly creeping up...The car says it is overheating..my situation is a little bit different from those who have had this problem...

137,000 miles and kicking...
Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced at 120,000 miles...
NO Leaks at all
Just got an oil change not too long ago....
Just put back on my stock exhaust not too long ago..

I have searched and read most of the "overheating" threads on the board..
I have come to the conlusion that I know I don't have a blown head gasket..

I will do these in this order:
Replace the radiator cap with a new one
Check the fluid levels
Double check for any leaks
Check the fans (fuses and relays)
Check the thermostat
If all else fails, sell my car to someone and get a used one..

Any other idea's would be helpful and I will keep you guys posted on my progress..so please, if you guys have any updates to the overheating problems please drop a line and help me out if you could...thanks!!

Aight, i must admit...I'm an official dumbass!! I checked the Radiator Cap and low and behold it looked dryer than a ****! So, that tells me I need to have some fluid put in their....for the mean time, I put a good amount of water in it...I'mma go to Honda tomorrow and have them put the right stuff in there and make sure its topped off...

But also, the cooling fan did not go on when it was "overheating"...so I'mma get that checked as well. I'll let you guys know about me situation tomorrow afternoon.

Heres my followup....

Sad to say, same shiet been happening...i run the car for 2 hours, then it wants to overheat...so I checked under the car and see some wetness...doesnt' smell weird so I figure its water or something...anyways, radiator was empty again...but no leak under the car...just dampness on the frame underneath...probably might be a radiator hose gone bad cause the overflow resevoir is still full of fluid....i got a appointment with Honda on Friday morning...and they better tell me that its just a radiator hose that needs replacing or else Imma be pissed!
