hey fellas
Not sure why the 6th and 7th gen civics sound so different. There are a few members in your area, search around for them and see if there are any close by you so you can here one in person. I dont think that you willl be disappointed, i think the D17 with a intake actually sounds pretty good.
thanks
listen i have a ractive intake and magnaflow exhaust resignators gone with 2 and a quarter inch pipe , but i cant stand the way it sounds anymore. i need to upgrade to get a better sound

The 2000 SI has like 160 hp and is DOHC. As for VTEC, the SI's are tuned for performance to a certain point. The d17 is more for good gas mileage and the economy. If you want the VTEC sound, sell the 7thgen and buy a 1999-2000 SI and that will get you the VTEC sound you are looking for. Also try a VTEC controller and just an intake with a RSX-S axle back put onto the stock piping.
By the way... I have the AEM V2 intake and it sounds mean. But it does not do much as far as gain. Sounding mean and being mean... Two different things.
hey guys my cousin owns the 2000 civic si coupe and its a sohc, its not an sir and his vtec kicks at 5500 when should mine kick and honestly im just looking for some crazy sound coming from the engine, no to much speed but more along the side of deep sound coming from the front end. i eventually want to drop the K-20, where can i get that AEm intake for a good price, Also my magnaflow exhaust is getting a little annoying what do u guys recomend i go with?
