Trunk / Gas Lever Cable snapped--HELP
I pulled into to fuel up the other night and when I went to pop my gas door, the lever became tight and then the cable snapped.... Now i can't get into the trunk or open the gas door using this lever. I had to open the trunk with the key and fold back the inner material of the trunk, reach in behind and get the gas door opened that way.......Has anyone ever replaced this cable and how difficult is it?
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

happened to me and a lot of other members, i still havent fixed mine yet but only the gas door cable broke so i can still open the trunk. I plan on trying to fix it myself eventually, i heard its hard tho
join the club, we own 3, and 3 broke, if you open the trunk with your key, pull the carpet back, and youll see where the lock is for the gas cap pin, give the whole thing a turn and it should pop out, and the the door will open

u wouldnt happen to have a rear tower bar would u? if u do u might have the cable underneath it preventing it from opening the trunk. i had that happen when i installed my rear tower bar and couldnt open the trunk or gas door. if not i have no clue

I've got the molding taken off and the carpet pulled back and as far as I can see, There is only one cable going to this lever. How it works I have no idea. Does anyone know of anywhere on the net or on this site that would have specific instructions on how to tackle this cable replacement?
