So i went to pop the hood today to check the oil and when I pulled on the little lever or whatever it is, it pops the hood and snaps right off. Now I am in quite a pickle because I can't open the hood until i get that fixed, which will not be right away so I was wondering if anyone knows of another way to do it. Also, does warranty cover this or no, I think the car is a lemon because the windows are already squeaking...

PS: so there is no confusion, this is the little plastic thingy on the inside of the car by the driver door, not the latch that holds down the hood...

grab a pair of pliers, use them to grab onto little plastic piece that used to be attached to the latch, and pull, happens all the time
