Sound when Lights Left On Doesn't Work (Revived Thread
I tried to revive my old post, but the system wouldn't let me.

This is the original post, great help guys, thanks
Hey guys, it's been going on for about a year or two now, but I never got around to fixing it. The beeping noise that is suppose to come on when u turn off your car and have your lights on doesn't work anymore. I dealt with it for a while, but I've done it twice in the past 2 weeks, and had to have a friend come by to jumpstart me. Is there like a fuse somewhere that I blew out? I checked the ECU/Fuse box and I don't think there is a fuse for something like that. Hopefully this doesn't require me to dig too deep into the car, cuz I'm not good with technical stuff.
Wow, sorry to revive this topic from the dead, but I have finally gotten around to wanting to fix this problem. I went to my front door to try and find those stops, but I wasn't sure which one it was. If you guys could be so kind as to tell me which one it is, and possibly how to install it, I would appreciate it. Theres those screws under the top one, I don't wanna touch em unless I have to. I realize I never turn my lights on until it gets really dark cuz I'm afraid of forgetting and leaving them on.

I think it's #16 or 20, I'm not sure though.

I had the door switch on the driver's side replaced. Ur right, just a 2 min installation if you know where it goes. Well, it still didn't fix the problem though. My car still doesn't make that "u left ur headlights on idiot" beep. Any more ideas guys?
the switch uses the body as the ground, so when the switch is pused in it grounds the wire to the body...make sure that you have good connections between the switch and the body is all i could really recomend, other than that check fuses, etc. also you might be able to trace the wire back to the ecu to make sure it's got a good connection there as well

Nevermind. The beep only comes on when the lights are on and the door is open. I don't tihnk I remember it being like that, but owell. Problem solved for 8 dollars. Thanks guys.
it should beep when the key is in the ingnition but not turned (with the doro open), the lights are on (and the car is off with the door open), and when the car is started with no driver seatbelt on. Thats the only times that i can think of that it beeps anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
