You could try this to see if its the CV joint. Turn in a circle at slow speeds and if you here click click click click click click click click click it is your cv joint. Check the outer cv joint boots for lots of grease, it usually gets on alot of other things also. I check my boots every now and then for cracks, rips, or grease.

The one closes to the wheel is the one that gets all the work, check that one. I'm guessing if there isn't a bunch of grease on your boot, then it's probably not the cv joint

ok man listen do this,by the way i hope ur still under warenty.I had the same problem looked everywhere but i couldn't find the solution. You guys will never believe this but it's true,I also had a hard time believing it myself but it is a defective peice in the transmition that recieves tourque when turning right.I sent it to the dealer and they fixed it.If it is not coverd by warrenty,I think it was around 1000$ bucks canadian.I don't care if you guys think it's bullshit, all I know is when I got my car back it was running perfect with no noise.

I agree, I thought it was that at first but it ended up being the tranny

Its not the cv joints.. Ive done loads on gearbox mods.. In the gearbox there is the reverse gear selector arm. Inside the arm is a ball bearing and spring arm. what happens is the spring goes weak and the selector arm moves around, funnily enough it rattles on second gear.
Hope this helps..

Re: Clicking Noise Turning Right?

I bought my buddies 02 civic off him cause my car got stolen n it seemed reliable. Right off the hop i had to put a full new exhaust in, no big deal.. but it seems like this car is notorious for head gaskets leaks, and due to slight loss in coolant.. and the occasional overheating when i come to an idle.. seems like i may have that problem.. but worse off.. the clutch just went last friday, and i had it towed to the shop.. ordered a new clutch kit, had it replaced. now the shop tells me my whole tranny is noisy. some kind of messed bearings or some bullshit inside. and the whole thing needs to be rebuilt... you guys are mentioning the clicking noise on right turns.. my car has done that exact thing from the day i bought it and i tried to figure out what it is the whole time. with no luck.. definetly not cv joints doesnt seem to be suspension at all.. ONLY does it when turning right... typically in second gear.. but who turns in any other gear? does anybody know much about this? what im worried about is letting my shop "rebuild the tranny" for whatever reason they see fit.. will this fix the clicking noise when i turn right? or will it remain? and worse off will i end up buying another new tranny/clutch in 30k km any help would be much appreciated

Re: Clicking Noise Turning Right?

Im in the same boat here. Noticed it this week turning right in second gear. Could it be the wheel bearing?

Re: Clicking Noise Turning Right?

I hv same problem when turning left OR right, the noise(friction of metal with metal) comes from rear right passenger side. usually happens when speed is low.

Re: Clicking Noise Turning Right?

so i had my tranny rebuilt at the shop, new clutch. head gasket still seems to be letting exhaust gas into my rad.. overpressurising and pushing coolant out.. eventually causing it to overheat.. im talking days tho.. but worse off.. it still clicks in 2nd gear when turning right.. the more you do it.. the noisier it seems to get.. im imagining worse? ... what can be done about this? the guys at my shop dont seem to understand my "explanation of what i think it is"
