headlight wire connector

So basically the dealership told me that my socalled "aftermarket" headlights that I got from Murrays caused this. The actual connector to the bulb for my low beams is fried. Like really fried, I was wondering if anyone had an extra connector or knew where I could just buy the connector. The dealership wants to charge me like $300 for the whole wire system for my lowbeams. I really only need to just splice in a new connector. Someone please come to my rescue! Thanks

the new connecter should come with a few inches of wiring on it so you can splice it into the existing wiring.

^^^ he's right, the wire harnesses for the '01-'03 civics were recalled about 2 years ago. you should look into the TSB for it. also, make sure if you buy aftermarket bulbs (hyperwhites, etc.) you match the wattage. i think stock wattage for our low beams is 45w, but most hyperwhites and stuff have higher ratings, like 75w. if thats the case then it will burn up your stock wire harness.
this happened to my sister's sentra. i just swapped the stock headlight bulbs back in and they fixed it with a heavy duty wire harness. if i didnt swap the bulbs she would probably have to pay for the fix...

#9 is the headlight connecter you need assuming that is the only one you fried. and assuming the rest of the wiring is ok. One thing you can do is turn on the headlights and see if you have 12 volts going to the connecter. If you do then replace that connecter. If you dont have 12 volts going to it, better check into the rest of the wiring.
