Rep Power: 0 Which PCV and where does it go???
I asked my dealer for a PCV valve for my '02 LX 2dr 5spd. He gave me an OEM 17130-PLM-A01. I popped the hood and couldn't find a home for it. Majestic Honda's online parts lookup lists the right part as 370576 VALVE ASSY., PCV. I'm confused. Which is the right part and where does it go? I can't find anything under the hood that even looks slightly like a PCV valve. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Rep Power: 429 well first off why did you buy a new PCV valve?
And opening the hood you wont be able to see the PCV valve. If you look on the right side of the intake manifold, there is a rubber hose that comes out of it and extends down to the bottom and into the back of the engine. and on the end of that rubber hose going into the engine is the PCV valve. The best way to get to it from how I see it is from underneath the engine.
Now if you arent sure you have the right part number, call honda and tell them you have the part and want to confirm the part number that you have. If it doesnt match, go back and get the correct one. the part numbers from majestic are majestic part numbers, not honda part numbers. thats there number to use when looking up the part. But the package will have a honda part number.

Rep Power: 0 I thought that it might be a cheap way to bring back some missing MPGs. The car has 115,000km (71,000 mi) on it, so I figured it couldn't hurt. My cruising range had dropped from 750+kms/tank to around 550. Since buying the PCV though, I pulled the plugs (last changed at 50,000km) and re-gapped them. They were in great shape, but the gaps were huge. My range is immediately back to 750. I'll pull the PCV and check it. It may not need to be changed, but while I've got the car up on jackstands, I'll have it to replace if needed.
