Engine miss
I am restoring an 89 crx. It has developed a miss. I have replaced the plugs and wires. The injectors all sound good. I have checked the compression 2 cylinders at 70 lbs. one at 65lbs. and the one in question 55 lbs. I can take the wire off the distributor at low rpms and it still puffs but as I raise the rpms the wire off makes it worse. If it was a valve, wouldn't it get worse at higher rpm? Any suggestions, Thanks Mark

Hmmm.... based on my own experience with older honda motors, I'd think about rebuilding that motor. Compression is usually real close between cylinders in a healthy engine. You can try checking the valve lash first. How many miles are on it?
