Arrow Problems with my Gauge Cluster Needle Lights? Help

Well I went to walmart tonight and right as I turned on my lights, my gauge lights came on as normal. But after a few seconds, the needle light for the fuel gauge went out. I tapped the plastic and it came back on, but went out again for good. Now also the needle light for the speedometer also went out. But half of it stays on while half of it is out. While I am at idle the speedometer needle light will stay on, but when I am driving, half the light goes out, and then when I hit 60 mph and above it comes fully on. Both needle lights for the tachometer and engine temp gaige work fine, but these 2 dont. I have indiglo gauges and they work fine, it is just the 2 needles. Anyone know the problem and how to fix it? Also to fix it does the gauge cluster need to come out? Also do you think I should take it back to the place who installed the indiglo gauges or take it to the dealer or a shop to have them check it out?

Take out the cluster and change the bulbs. Or make sure the bulbs are snug in the sockets and that THEY are properly seated.

Very simple. 15 min. tops.

does anybody think it would have to do with the wiring? or just the bulbs going out. Because if the bulb was going out or is out, wouldnt the hole needle light not work. The fuel needle light is out, but the speedometer needle is half lit and changes when I drive. I cant go to the shop for a bit, but was just curious.

Those bulbs are flimsy as hell. What probably happened is the filament broke, and the contact was intermittent. Yup - change the bulbs and you should be all good.

There are five backlight bulbs for the cluster that light up the numbers AND needles using light guides. If you take off the indiglos, you'll see that parts of the gauge face are also not lit up. Just check the bulbs in the back.

if you have indiglos, they could be hooked up wrong, I had mine tapped to the wrong wire due to no instructions, and when I found some instructions, they went back on. It could be the wrong wire. Make sure they tapped the red/black one I believe, and grounded the black

Well the indiglos come on, it is just the needle lights. only 2 of them are way dim. I am not too worried about it anymore though.
