a/c turns on when flow is toward windshield?
a/c turns on when flow is toward windshield?
i noticed this for a while ago..
if i set the air flow to "windsheild" or "windshield and foot together"
and turn on the air only, (not a/c but just air..fan? maybe)
then the a/c turns on by itself WITHOUT that green light indicator on.
i can hear and feel it cuz the air is so cold.

Sounds like you didn't do Defrost-AC OFF DIY correctly, or did it by accident. Search for that old thread and try it, I think that happened to me the first time I tried and didn't hold the button down long enough.
[QUOTE=he thinks the AC (condensor) being turned on while the AC green button wasn't turned on....[/QUOTE]
Yeah, that is exactly what I was talking about. When you do the Defrost AC off DIY incorrectly, you get the air conditioning without the green notification light. This happens whether you have the vents open for windshield, feet, dash, whatever. Read that DIY and use it to make the green light come back on.

NOO u r misunderstanding..sorry about my english guys..
my AC works fine with that green indicator..normally..
and it doesnt turns on automatically when Defrost most is activated..
i havent even tried that DIY..
so there is no possibility that i did defrost ac off diy incorectly..
my problem is..
AC turns on automatically when i turn on the fan only toward the windshield..
if i turn on the fan toward seat or foot,
then the AC doesnt turn on (which is normal)
but if only if i turn on the fan toward the windshield, then the AC turns on automatically without that green indicator light
hope u got what im saying..

that is perfectly normal. Read manual!!!!!!
When you switch the wind direction towards windshield only, or windshield and your foot. The AC turns on automatically! Because the car is designed to think that you want to defrost the front windshield when you make the wind blow towards the windshield. So don't think your car is damaged, because its very normal!
Hope it helped you!
