touch up or not? (looking for a different way to fix scratch)
guys, i need ur opinion..
as you guys know, if we do lot's of highway driving, that is equal to lot's of chips in our hood, right?
now, the chips...some are deep, in the way that u can actually see the inner body...and there are some which only...."scratch" the paint in the way that ur paint become white....
i've tried buffing and use the anti-scrath stuffs...however, it won't work anymore...seems like the paint was really scratched....quarter way to the body...
now, whadday guys do to fix this problem?
with the characteristic of the scratch problem, do you rather to touch it up with the touch up paint, or just leave it alone?
is there any way to "coat" that thin scratch with...say...."thin-liquid" of paint which you can just wipe around the scratch..? the idea is that you're gonna wipe this "thin-liquid" around the scratch, and "repaint" the scratch...with the same color...but it won't effect the un-scratched paint around it... u can't definitely do that with ur touch up paint, i think...
thanx!

Rep Power: 0 the best thing i would do is TOuch up Paint, if ur scratch is small it wont be visible unless close up, but if ur a perfect freak go to the body shop they will fix it for you.

Rep Power: 0 I collect scratches, dents and stone chips. Then every 2 years have the whole car touched up under insurance. The car usually comes back looking like new.
