Hey guys..I've got a big, lingering problem..I'm still smelling gas in my oil..when I check the dipstick with oil.and rub it on a napkin..I smell a strong smell of gasoline, .even my friends from Pep Boys noticed what a strong smell it was..They told me to take it to Honda..and so I did.. The service clerk took my car in...and after about 6 hrs. he called me and said nothing's wrong with my car: The Fuel pressure is ok, spark plugs are good? and he jus said nothing's wrong with my car...BUt my oil still has a High smell of gas in it.and even showed the service clerk..he noticed the smell too...and all he said was bring it in after 500 miles and he'll check again... now..what the heck would he check on...and what can be contributing to this.....I don't know how this could happen...and i'm getting worried about this now...if you guys could offer any insight..i'd appreciate it....

If you check the internet, it will tell you different things based on the condition of plugs. I think one was gas in the oil. Otherwise, take it to another dealer cause that's a big problem. I think it's an engine seal that came apart.

Most people don't usually smell their oil. All used oil coming from an automobile is going to have a gas smell to it. The honda dealer looked at it and found nothing wrong. I think you are more paranoid than anything else. Unless your plugs are fouled due to a rich condition or you at some point noticed a significant decrease in gas mileage, I'd say you need leave it alone and be done with it.
