Clunk Sound when Braking is normal?!

So each time I go reverse and then go forward.. and when I press on brake... it makes this huge "CLUNK" sound.

I told Honda about it and they told me it was normal. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes and no...

I dunno about you guys, but my 2001 Acura EL has 4 disc brakes all around... It ended up being my rear disc pads being LOOSE. Nothing you can do, it'll go away eventually...

I asked at the dealer... They said they COULD put in some shims, but then your pads would wear out like 4 times as fast. Not sure WHY it happens, it just happens. I don't get it any more.

It sounds like as if the entire caliper is loose when you brake I know the feeling

Normal? NO! Could be a variety of things from loose brake pads, caliper, suspension bolts to engine mounts

it is normal there is just a little space in caliper allowing the brake pads to move.
I had the same issue and when I had the brakes serviced it went away.

its normal, the oem pads are cheap so if you replace your pads with aftermarket ones it'll go away. it has something to do with the clips they use on their pads.
