Replaced a ten year old battery. Changed the ground cable at the same time since the old one was pretty bad. After installing both the car (07 Civic) does very strange things. When I turn the key to the aux position the dash lights will click and blink on briefly. Pushing the hazard light button will cause the dash lights to flick off and on. If I turn the key to the start position or put my foot on the brake everything stops The engine will not turn over under any circumstance. I checked resistance from the negative terminal to the car body and to the engine - no resistance. Headlights shine brightly. Not sure what else to check. Your wisdom would be very much appreciated.
