Check Power Steering System

9th Gen. Honda Civic. 2012. Two days ago, i got in my car and realize that my dash had the following warning.."Check Power steering System". At that moment the steering got hard. Instinctively i turned off the ignition and restarted. The warning went away and i drove all day without any issues. Later that evening while driving the warning came back, steering got hard. I did the same thing of restarting and again it went away, and the car drove ok. What's happening here? Based on actions it seem to be electrical. Anyone has an insight.
