07 Civic 1.8L won't start
Hi all,
First time here, but I'm not sure where else to turn. I've been having issues with my 2007 Civic not starting. It started out as just a sort of sluggish start, but would turn over. Then it became that it would try to turn over, but wouldn't successfully start. Now, it doesn't even try to turn over. There isn't a single click when I turn the key, there is no like rapid clicking from the starter either. We got the starter replaced with a brand new one and it worked for about a week or so, and now it's back to not starting again. We have also replaced the battery with a brand new one, even though the one that was there was only a year old (harsh starts from living in Alaska, but I've since moved out of state). I replaced the batteries ground wire as well, because it wasn't looking so good. This afternoon I replaced the ignition switch as a lot of google searches had sort of led me in that direction, but still no luck. I believe the fuel pump is fine as I can hear the slight hum when the key is turned to accessory (took out the fuel pump relay to be sure that's what I was hearing and without the relay, no hum). I also don't think it's the alternator as I've had a few people test it (admittedly just places like O'Reilly, but also roadside assistance checked it for me once) and was always told it was fine, aside from that, all lights and powered items still work just fine. I have heat/AC, power windows, radio, headlights, brake lights, dash lights, everything still turns on, but the engine just won't turn over. Anyone have any idea what I should do?
Sorry for the long post, and I appreciate any thoughts, guidance and help!

Re: 07 Civic 1.8L won't start
What do you consider to be a cheap starter? I believe I got an Ultima Select Starter (it was from O'Reilly Auto) and it was a little over $200. It did have this problem before we replaced the starter, and we replaced it thinking that was the problem.

I had the same problem once, replaced starter, battery and had the alternator check. Alternator was good. I finally had it towed to the Honda dealership. After $150 later, it was the ignition fuse.
