Battery keeps draining
Battery keeps draining
I have a 2006 Honda Civic and my battery keeps draining and it turns off. I have got a new battery new alternator and new fuse box it has happened before but fixed when I replaced the parts. At idle the batter light comes one but when I rev it the battery light comes off.
Re: Battery keeps draining
This. You may have replaced the alternator, but was it a remanufactured one from the auto parts store? There's a good chance that this one is bad and you need to try another one. This is what happened to me about a year ago.
You can do a simple check for this by measuring the battery voltage while the engine is idling and revving up. If the voltage is fluctuating heavily, then the alternator is most likely defective.
