Fuel gauge calibration

Hi,
I have a 2008 Honda Civic MK8, FN2 (European version), engine R18A2.
In the past I had a problem with the instrument cluster which from time to time suddenly showing all the error lights on.
Sadly no one could figure out the problem and come with an easy fix (or didn't want to) and all I could get was an offer to replace the Instrument cluster with a new one and reprogramming the odometer at Honda dealer (a very expensive bill to pay).

Denying the offer I start to take it apart myself and I found that one wire of the ribbon cable inside of the instrument cluster was detached from the electronic board (a bad soldering). I re-solder the ribbon cable and all was fixed.
In the disassembly process I had to remove all the gauge needles. After I put back all together, I found that the needle of the fuel gauge is badly offset and it show full thank when I have just half a tank and it shows half a tank when is actually empty.

This is not a terrible issue because I rely now on the trip computer which shows me how many miles I can still drive the car until empty.

(I told you guys all the story so you know is not a bad sensor in the tank or anything else broken)

Is there any method to fix this gauge without disassembly again the Instrument cluster? Something like software reset? Actuators reset? Software calibration?
I was reading somewhere on the internet 2 years ago (yes, I drove 2 years without the fuel gauge), about actuator reset with the ignition key in on position and pressing a combination of buttons... or something like this.

Thank you for reading and maybe someone know how to do this gauge reset on honda civic.
