Funny Noise When In Gear
Funny Noise When In Gear
Hello, new member here and 1st time Civic owner. Picked up this very clean 2007 Civic that had the engine block replaced under warranty in 2017 under warranty (got all paperwork from previous owner)
Anyhow got a safety done and mechanic said there is a drive line noise. Which I noticed when testing driving, I still purchased the car. I hope it wasn't a mistake. As car is super clean and very good under body.
So I read about the input bearing and throw bearing and how to diagnose the problem. Issue is I don't get the noises when clutch out in neutral and clutch in while in neutral like I read on here as ways to see if it's either bearing.
The noise happens when I'm in 1st and 2nd gear at low take off speed. Any other gear I don't hear it.
Could this be a simple fix like a half shift axle or something?
im getting it to a shop next week for a free complimentary check from the place I got my safety. But trying to get ahead of the game.
This is a full saver vehicle for me as my 19 ram is getting expensive to run. I'll drive it like this until it breaks if thr cost is too much.

Could be wheel bearing or brakes/dust shield.
Just let the shop look at it if you don't have the means of diagnosing yourself
