my clutch makes clicking noise while pressing and releasing but the gear shifts perfectly fine, but as soon as i shift to 4th gear the car starts to make loud noise. please help.......

Get someone to push and release the clutch while you look at the tranny and see if you can see the problem (while the car is stationary imo) also 4th & 5th gear are connected in a way (i believe) so it might be something with the bearing or whatever. Change your tranny oil and see if it smooths out a bit. But youd have to ask someone who knows more

mine does this too but after i release the clutch it stops...one of my friends said it was the throwout bearing and it was "normal"

Those gears are likely damaged, a chipped tooth.

Get it rebuilt. Should cost around $1000.

is it good to get it rebuilt of get a used transmission and get it replaced. which one is cheaper.
