2014 cvt rubber plug

Have a 2014 Honda Civic with 83k miles. I had the cvt fluid changed at the dealer 3 times, most recent at 78k. I popped the hood one day and noticed the filler plug was not where it was supposed to be and resting on top of the case. Is there any chance fluid escaped or should I not worry about it?

Re: 2014 cvt rubber plug

Easy enough to check the fluid level, you need to clean the vent cap to stop that from happening.

^This.

The transmission case vent is a short metal tube with a rubber cap kindaa L shaped, If it gets clogged, pressure change inside the trans can make the rubber plug pop out,
