I got a 2010 hybrid civic and the axel seal is leaking I’ve put a new one in and installed flush put the seal seems lose and not tight. Any help will be appreciated it’s my daughters car and she travels for school
i should add it does have a new axel on it as well and I can find no play in the half shaft

the seal seems lose and not tight
The OE seals aren't like some other types of seals that require much beating to install, these may push right in with only a little resistance. The original seal probably was easily removed as well? .
Aftermarket seal? Try one from a Honda dealer

i can push the seal in with my hand. I’ve ordered one from Honda. Should I put some silicone around the outside of the seal.
