Throttle Body Cleaning Problems with High Idle
Throttle Body Cleaning Problems with High Idle
Hi everyone, as always, I need some help. After cleaning my Civic 2006 EX throttle body (did not take it out, nor force open the butterfly - used the press acceleration pedal way and also used throttle body cleanner spray), and trying different re-learn idle ways, I still have it idle @ over 1k rpm (normally 1.5 rpm), going down to 1 only when stopped with the brake pedal pressed. I am also getting the P0507 code, and sometimes (esporadically)pop up a P1129 or P0106. I tried to use spray and smoke to detect Vacuum Leaks, and did not find any leaks (maybe it still have and I did not see it). Also, I took out the EGR valve and the MAF sensor and cleanned both. I am thinking in take out the throttle body completelly and go for re-cleaning it, and also cleaning the MAP sensor. Any suggestions, I am getting crazy with this
Thank you
Thank you
Re: Throttle Body Cleaning Problems with High Idle -HELP
As i said, I did it all over again. Went to Autozone and bought a MAF sensor cleanner Spray and Throuttle Body & Intake Cleanner Spray. This time, I took out the Throttle Body, dismonted the MAP sensor from it, and cleaned both using Eletronic Cleaning Spray on the MAP sensor and Throuttle Body Cleaning Spray on the Throutltle Body. Also, took my time after that and cleaned the MAF sensor and EGR; I cleaned the MAF sensor with The MAF Sensor Cleaning Spray. and the EGR with the Thrpttle Body Spray. Mount everything back, got an Spill-Free Funnel, and follow the instructions of running the car for purging the radiator/coolant system, and idle relearn (i had forgot to mention that I changed the radiator a week ago). Car seems better, but the P0507 is back, and the Idle are never bellow 1k RPM (witg the radiator fan, get 1.2/1.5k RPM. I have a Ancel FX2000, but seems that the parameters are normal. I am goi g to run a full scan and get each parameter to try to compare - this is making me crazy - HELP
