I took my car for a regular oil change a couple of days ago because I'll be driving out of town tomorrow. They told me that I'll need to replace the oil pan because it's damaged and drain plug stripped. My car does not currently leak any oil and I have no driving issues. Does anyone have a similar experience with this issue on a 2012 Honda Civic? And how much time I really have to get this replaced? I won't be able to get this replaced for another 2 - 3 weeks.

Re: 2012 Honda Civic Coupe - Damaged Oil Pan
Dealer or independent shop told you this?
if it's not currently leaking (get under the car and look) I'd leave it until you need an oil change again and then replace the pan at that point. If an aftermarket pan is available it should be significantly cheaper than an oe pan.
I had to do this on my '00 coupe
the shop did damage the oil pan threads. That looks like overtightening. Why replace the pan? Rethread it with helicoil or larger pan bolt. Squirt grease in behind threads and start the fix. I definetly woiuldnt replace the pan for that.
Simply installing longer bolt with gasket will also fix it. Depends on what type of repair you want. Personally I do not let other people work on my cars because of this type of work damage.
There are also tap kits that willl oversize the hole and allow a larger drain pan bolt to be installed. I do wonder what replacing the pan and labor would cost.
