Rep Power: 0 2009 civic hybrid right engine mount noise
Knocking noise at low speeds and uneven roads, I changed the sway bar links and bushings.. smoother but still that clicking/clunking at low speeds / uneven roads. I was about to change the shocks as recommended but it didn't make sense to me as the noise was coming from the passenger side and more like a metal clunking than a worn part. I tried moving the right engine mount as per the video and the rubber doesn't seem to be attached and I can wiggle the engine. I need to know if the wiggle is normal or not for this type of mount, pay attention to the clicking noise which is a smaller version of what is experienced on the road but bang on. Is there anything else I should look for before replacing this part? Also note they mention in another article that this may affect the exhaust pipes and my exhaust shield underneath is now rattling a little as well.
Thank you!
