I have been chasing this issue for a while now. Not sure why I didn't throw it up on here first, but better late than never!
I have a 2007 Civic LX 5MT I bought used fall of 2018. Ran absolutely great for 2 months, THEN it started with it's issue... I would insert the key, turn to crank, would crank strong but no start. I would have to do this 2 times, but no more. This lasted about 3 weeks, then it got worse. Went from 2 crank attempts, to 3, 4, 5, 6... Then eventually (1.5 weeks), Strong crank, no start. Went to plug into CAN, no communication at all. (Still no communication as well). Check the fuel rail supply line during crank, no fuel. No power to fuel pump with IG2. No spark from coils while cranking either. Checked the large fuses under the hood, all are okay. Replaced the small blue relay under the drivers kick panel, with IG2 starts clicking like crazy, then eventually fails. Plan on checking circuits this evening, hoping someone here can isolate the issue before I keep chasing a non-existent issue. PLEASE HELP!
-Replaced fuel sending unit, I did hook up 12v to fuel pump directly and fires right up.
-Removed interior and checked all grounds I could find. ( Yes I know this is a lot of work, but I like fully inspecting any used vehicle I buy so I have confidence in it if I resell it)
-Tried both keys, with no avail. (Note: The key less entry was intermittent when this issue started. Replaced battery, seemed to work but have read it could be tied with DLC circuit)
