dash dressing

ive used like every product out on the market to try to get my dash to just look like it was when i first got the car. Tried armor all but that attracted alot of dust and was really shiney and stinky, tried maguires and same thing happend way to glossy, btw my dash is black. What do you guys use? MY dash right now is really dry and feels really rough.

Most of the dressing on the market will make the dust attract to the dash. I use Vinyl-X. I find that it works great, and its not slimy like armorall.

I use Meguiar's wipes. They work pretty well. Sometimes I take a damp cloth and wipe of any dust that may settle there later.

the wipes have a tendency to leave lint somewhat so i stopped usinbg those and i like the way amorall makes the dash glossy. The dust is a pain tho since its a black interior but i just re apply every week.

Either Black Magic - Total Shine, or baby oil, the baby oil works great.

Re: dash dressing

being that you sound like you don't want it to be greezy! I'd use the 303... Its water based, not oil based so it doesn't attract dust and it doesn't leave a film on your windshield like most other products (Black Magic comes to mind -- super shiny, super greasy).

303 is a bit expensive though and you can't buy it everywhere...

Armor all used to make an anti-static formula for the dash and such. It worked awesome and came in a low shine formula. My dash would stay dust free for quite a while. I guess most people like a shiny **** dash because they stopped making it. Well, I haven't seen it in a while. I like lexol and meguiar's the best. The lexol seems to last the longest.

I just use a paper towel every now and again to get rid of the dust.

Also, I also use these little cloths that go on the swifter floor sweepers I think. They are charged and attract dust and such. They are simply awesome for getting everything off the dash. You may want to give those a try.

www.303products.com -- you can find a retailer near you from their website or just order it from their store...

303 is really good juice! If you want a really matte sheen, be sure to let it sit for no more than 10-15 minutes before you buff all the excess residue/streaks out. I apply it using a yellow foam wax applicator and then buff it using one of those blue shop towels. This stuff will leave a nice deep, low-gloss shine on your dash.

I use Meguiar’s No. 40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Protectant which works really well since it cleans as well as protect with out the gloss.
