He said get rid of them, not hide them. You are going to need to use a polish / swirl remover to get rid of them. I like Poorboy's line of swirl removers myself. There are tons of polishes out there that will do the trick. Also, find your source for the scratches and stop doing what causes them. Most likely it is the car wash you are using or prodcust you are using to wash and dry your car with.

Make sure the wash and dry towels you use are soft.Chamois are good for
windows, but since they don't have knap ,they will press any leftover debris
against your clear coat.(The clear coat they use these days is applied in
very thin layers and is easily scratched.) Hopefully this will help prevent any
future swirl marks and whatnot.

using a plush wash mitt and a waffle weave to wash and dry your car, will help minimize scratches/swirls in the future.

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
learning how to wash and wax a car will help prevent getting more. Never wash, apply, remove any susbstance from the car in a circle motion.

This has a very detailed guide on how to remove swirl marks, just go to how to's -> how to remove swirl marks. Then check out the paint protection page, i use klasse and i love it, keeps swirls from comming back(with proper care).

Meguires 7 and 9 work very well. If you want to really do a good job then you should a good detailing job on the outside. Here's a good DIY: http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38655

I just did my car and wow... it did wonders. It's not very hard, just takes 4-6 hours to do a good job. (http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=176053)

Agreed, washing and drying is the way MOST swirls return. Here ia a great article on washing and drying the CORRECT way. Enjoy

How to wash and dry
As for removing the swirls. It can be done by hand but a PC is the easiest and best way to remove the swirls.
PC with Sonus Pads from Autopia
I would recommend 1Z Or Menzerna polishes to REMOVE the swirls.
Here is a couple of pictures on removing swirls I did on a black Grand Prix GT.
