"Touchless washers" wax
Those places that wash your car automatically and they charge you like another dollar for wax. Is that good or crappy quality?
What about the places where you do it yourself with the handheld sprayer? There's a wax option. Yay or nay? My dad waxed his car like that once and it looked pretty good.

i like those touchless car wash but i only go during the winters. i highly recommend it coz it wont leave swirl marks on ur car unlike the cloth ones
. but it want be as clean as doing it ur self. i usually get the whole works coz u get a extra rinse!!

In the summer I'll use the auto one now and then when I'm lazy...but usually I have to get out and dry the car anyway since the dryer thing sucks...so I have found it better to just do it by hand...even at the DIY sprayer places...as for the quality of the wax...no idea....but it can't be all that good.

Do you want to know what the wax is?? I mean the hot wax or polish wax or whatever they call it....We used to use it at the detailing shop after we would wash cars...It is called Easy Bead. Its sole purpose is for the paint to bead on the car.
How you use it is simple. First you wash the car like you would normally do it and then you hose all the soap off the car.
Take the easy beads and spray it over the entire car, and then hose the car off again. It doesnt make your car glossier or brighter...it just makes the paint bead until it rains or until you wash the car again.
This is why hot wax or any other wax from an automatic car wash is useless. You are just spending extra money.
Did you know it costs the car wash $.25 to wash one car...and then they charge you $4.50-$10.00 for a wash...unbelievable.
I would stay away from automatic car washes, because the chemicals are very strong and they will strip the wax on the paint. If there is no wax, it will strip the clearcoat and make the paint look dull.
