My dad wont let me wax my car!!!

I told my dad the otherday i was going to go wax the car(bymyself) and he is like No your gonna wreak the paint and blah balh balh
the only way he will let me wax it is if i take it to a "professional" wax place[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]
What am i going to do
i dont want my paint to dull out!!!

Rep Power: 0 Just tell your dad that you need to wax to help protect from UV. Take him to a junk yard and show him the faded paint on those old beaters, then tell him this is what will happen if you don't wax.
He probably thinks you want to use a buffer or something; asure him you'll wax by hand, and everything should be cool.

Rep Power: 0 yeah you should be able to wax it after 5 months, paint usually needs 3 months to cure (i.e. DO NOT wax any body part that has been painted recently). Peace

Rep Power: 0 That's a lot of work guys/gals. If his father doesn't want him to wax it...and he paid for half the car. He shouldn't wax it and take it to a professional wax place and get it done like his father said...of course since it was fathers idea, he should pay for it.
