Need help on this Engine swap !!!!!
so i have a 02 civic ex having engine problems so i had a lx motor stored in garage so thinking about doing swap im pretty sure it should bolt right in , but my question is would i have to change anything on it or if i want to add vtec to lx motor what are my options please help asap ??????

You will get a fault code for VTEC solenoid since it won't exist. I believe this also would put the engine into limp mode (~4k RPM rev limit). There's a whole section on adding VTEC to a non-VTEC engine if you want to go that route. Otherwise you will want to get a non-VTEC ECU, then get keys programmed so it will start.

basically, if your current engine head is OK, you swap the heads between them.
Take the opportunity to change headgasket, timing belt, water pump, etc.
