2002 civic engine swap Need help on this Engine swap !!!!! so i have a 02 civic ex having engine problems so i had a lx motor stored in garage so thinking about doing swap im pretty sure it should bolt right in , but my question is would i have to change anything on it or if i want to add vtec to lx motor what are my options please help asap ?????? |
Re: 2002 civic engine swap You will get a fault code for VTEC solenoid since it won't exist. I believe this also would put the engine into limp mode (~4k RPM rev limit). There's a whole section on adding VTEC to a non-VTEC engine if you want to go that route. Re: 2002 civic engine swap basically, if your current engine head is OK, you swap the heads between them. Take the opportunity to change headgasket, timing belt, water pump, etc. |
