Ok I just read the swap thread in here but im still confused... for a newb like me which engine swap would be the easiest for me to handle...D18C5 or the K20. and also everyone says K20A3 or something like that around my home...is that even an engine???? BTW I know a guy who works at a factory that can get me either of those engines for about 1,500... help please (please no flames i already admitted im a newb...)

Rep Power: 0 k20a2 is big bucks so happy spending. you're looking at $3,000 to $4,000 for everything....tranny, engine, ecu, etc. and thats w/o labor. i'm telling you, if u wanted a fast car, you should have gotten one.

Rep Power: 0 Like i said in the original post I can get the engine off a friend for 1,500 and everything else I need but im thinking I will just sell my civic in a year or 2 and then buy something that moves.

Rep Power: 261 If you're looking for the easiet swap, i'd say, rebuilt D17 long-block from truehonda.com
If i'm not mistaken, i believe you can still use your current motor mounts, ecu, wiring, ect. Plus the long block being rebuilt should hold a nice amount of boost.
