JDM trans help.

Hello I have read every post in this forum thread about trans swap and cant find what im looking for. so im asking you guys ..
2003 civic auto trans went out so I picked up a JDM for it. my problem is its shifting from 1st to second close to 4k rpm and then not shifting into 3rd. should i have changed the shifting solenoids from the original trans? ive done this swap before but i cant remember if i swapped the solenoids. i think i did but not 100% sure. would that be the first logical thing to change before pulling it back out to take back ?
thanks in advance

Probably couldn't hurt to try. Pull or buy used ones from a junk yard. Most yard's have a 30 day or more return policy.

Re: JDM trans help.

I changed them and it is shifting but only when it gets to 4500rpm. Not sure what to do now. Might just sell the car to pick ur part and be done with it..

Sorry, my reading comprehension is getting worse as I get older.

Did you get the ECU flashed? Any CEL/trouble codes? Readjust the range sensor?

This link https://www.civicforums.com/forums/3...wap-issue.html may help?

A dude named D17VTECPOWER did a JDM transmission swap and may have some related info. Here's his threads he started page: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/s...archid=3970517
