Dynoed the monster

Well, we figured out what the big problem was last time.... emanage had VTEC set too high, it would basically come on at the redline, and we never noticed it.... move the engagement point down... poof, power. (more explainations later... I've got dyno plots of no vtec, you can see what happens.

1st gear is useless.... it lights both tires at 5500. 2nd and 3rd are just nuts, I really haven't gone past that.... it was kinda busy.
Edwin (skipbarber) went with me... I'll let him post up his crap, but his HP curve was quite amazing (you could have put a ruler on it).

nice numbers too man
It wouldn't let us go below the 5200 we set it at without fighting... so we left it there, the curve came out pretty clean.

OK... here's no VTEC. We had to cut it off at 6K because the injectors maxed out.
As you can see... VTEC + Boost = 50HP

Boiler do you have any clue what your doing? Because looking at your dyno's it appears not. You have an EX why are you using the emanage to control Vtec? Why is your Vtec set at 5600? Your vtec should be controlled by the ecu not the emanage. Its costing you alot of power! And how do you figure your injectors are maxing out with 171 flywheel hp? Looks like another case emanage used incorrectly.

I didn't tune it, I have no idea how to tune it, which is why I had a shop do it. I said above the computer was giving us crap about moving it around. Sitting on the dyno at $200 an hour isn't the right time to sit there and try to fool with the wiring so that emanage doesn't control it. Evidently something in the PNP harness has to come out, but I wouldn't have known what to change. You're making it out to sound like its the worst thing in the world. I assure you its a MINOR ISSUE. A couple little tweaks and the issue is fixed. The major point is the car is solidly tuned where it is. It runs runs 11.6 A/F across the board with not more than a .2 variation. Its not going to blow up which is the most important thing, and its been running solidly since I boosted it, which is a lot more than some people can say, so I'm fairly confident I did something right.
Second, its pretty easy to figure out that the injectors maxed out.... all you gotta do is look at the injector map. Since you seem to be so well versed in e-manage, surely you would have known that. When the injector pulses jump from 10 to 33 to 42 and at 42 its still only dropping in enough fuel to run 13.5:1, you're out of fuel. Either from the injector or the pump. If thats not good enough.... e-manage logs duty cycles... when it says they're running at 104% its a pretty good chance they're maxed.

What size injectors are you running?..... There is a definate learning curve going from NA to turbo. NIce job so far. And I agree with a few more tweeks you should be able to hit 200+whp.

How much boost and what size turbo??

I agree with these guys. Your tuner probably didnt know the vtec in these cars is different. Just let the stock ECU deal with it, its set pretty much optimally anyway. You can set the emanage to not do anything to the vtec, at best just dont wire vtec up to it. Nice numbers though. Bet its fun to drive!
