Injectors

I got all the bolt-ons you can have and I want to boost at some point. I want to know what injectors to run for full NA setup (No cam unless someone knows a company that can make me one or I switch to the D16Y8 cam and rocker assembly). Will be manual soon!

D17A
SLXA Transmission (Auto for now)
CAI (eBay pipe with Weapon-R Dragon filter)
Amazon Exhaust manifold, Spun metal cat (50-state compliant), 2 Masterflows (I think, they are an exhaust shop where I live "Custom" resonator with their logo)

Re: Injectors

Really depends on your target boost levels. How much boost you wanna run? If you're planning on only running like.. 8psi, RSX-S injectors should do you just fine. Stock D17 injectors are like... 220cc/min or something like that, and RSX-S injectors are 310cc/min. They're a direct fit, just about a quarter inch longer. Tuning is gonna be the make or break factor

As far as cams go.. I'm not 100% sure if the -A2 cams fit the D17A, but if you manage to find a crower D17A2 cam (long since discontinued), I'd hop on one of those. They do custom cam grinds, and I posted the crower cam specs somewhere here before, so that might be a viable option

RSx Type-S? The 02-04 right? And boost just like 6 PSI since I technically won't have forged internals. Are you able to find the specs for the crower cams? And how would I find the retainer kit since you need that for a stage 2. If I can't regrind I'm just gonna go with the D16Y8 cam. From what I've heard it's similar to a stage 1 cam for my car. And yes I'm going to be tuning it. And I want to get a 2 Bar map sensor for now (Since my car isn't turbod and the resolution you get with the map sensor will be awful if you don't utilize all of it) and ill do that with the slightly larger injectors and is it the walbero fuel pump I want? I'm also gonna get an ktuned or whatever it was cam gear and ecu so it's tunable. And I'm going to tune it myself so I gotta learn how to.

Re: Injectors

@IfollowUdie here are the specs on the D17A2 cams from crower (and part numbers they used). Despite the stage 1 and 3 both saying "naturally aspirated," both have been used in turbo applications

in the future, just go to the menu "search", choose "advanced search" and in "Keyword" type "Crower spec" and in username type "xrice....", choose "find posts by user" and click on "search button".
You would have found the specs by yourself instead of waiting for replies.
Ability to research is key on making engine modifications. The other one is if you can't find an answer, to try yourself.
Heck, a guy went and modified a non-VTEC head into a VTEC head himself. He simply up and did it.

Note: I don't think you are going to get much by simply putting injectors there. Maybe some loss of MPG and potentially shorten cat life if too much fuel injected.

Eh I'm not looking for like crazy power gains by adding injectors, better fuel pump, and tune. Like even a few ponies would be cool because it would mean my engine would be running at max power output instead of being restricted to the stock tune with all stock parts.

Thanks for letting my know, found some used ones for like $70. If I get used ones I just need to clean them up right? Or should I stay away from used?

Thank you SO much. Do I contact crower from there website? I've tried and they NEVER reply. Is there a better way to do that? Athat hate like $400 for a stage 2 to be made from the stock D17A cam? Also how would I go about getting the springs and retainers needed since they've been discontinued for forever. I might see if I can use the D16Y8 stage 2 can, lifters, springs, and all the stuff for the cam. Since theoretically if you can put the d16y8 stock one in there, why wouldn't you be able to use the performance ones?

Re: Injectors

I don't think there is any tunable ECU that would support your auto transmission. Likely need to manual swap first.
