Ideas for bringing back my Car from a 11 year Slumber

Well as most of you all do not know
i have been very ill for over 13 years now
and sadly my 7th gen Civic has been in and out of storage since early 2008 i think
my 2005 civic lx spec 2dr just has 51 thousand miles on it and still looks almost new
it will need just about everything to get back on the road
when i bought this brand new in August 2005
my idea was to heavily modify this but getting sick before this was 2 years old and losing the ability to drive
everything was put all of that on hold and i still am unable to drive due to my eyes
but i am hoping with some new treatment ideas i might finally be able to start some of my ideas from years ago
i see in the past decade some real innovations have been made
and i am thinking instead of the RSX type S engine swap i was thinking of doing
has anyone considered the newer Civic Type R engine Swap?
i know the wheels are 5x120 bolt pattern
and i would think RSX type R or RSX type S suspension could be redrilled to be able to use the 20" stock wheels
i was thinking of a radical right hand drive originally with electric power steering from the Hybrid models
and even maybe a Roots style Supercharger on the K20 but if the newer civic drivetrain is a better setup
i would even consider that
any help will so be appreciated
stay safe out there
God Bless,John
my plans were to make a real sleeper out of this
something no one would ever think twice about

Anything can be done with enough time and money. The K20C1 uses different mounts than a regular K20. There are not any swap mounts available, you would have to custom fabricate. The transmission is also different and would likely require custom axles. Nobody has done anything like this so you won't be able to find much info.

well thank you for the response
i was thinking it might be very difficult with all the modern advances like ABS and the upgrades since then
i know the axles and the motor mounts for sure would have to be fabricated
i was thinking of using RSX type S subframe and suspension
stay safe out there
God Bless,John

Hondata did, however, prove that the K20C1 does fit in the EM2 engine bay, for what it's worth

Hell, just from a first hand experience looking at both engines, it seems like the L15 in the non-Type R turbo civics has a larger footprint than the D17. At least with everything attached to the engine, it seems bigger on the X and Z axes

Re: Ideas for bringing back my Car from a 11 year Slumber

they were talking on the video about how to do the motor mounts and even coming up with a adapter to use the RSX manual trans too
some great ideas and seeing it fit in there
and with the article that u can build these engines
with stock K20C1 is a direct injected, turbocharged, 2.0L engine that produces 306 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque from the factory
to
The stock turbo can produce 400 lb.-ft. of torque at low rpm and over 400 hp.”
that seems crazy to me for a car that was never designed for this
it would be a rocket ship
God Bless,John
i know Brakes and suspension upgrades to make this all work as it should
but it would be like nothing else around here for sure
