Electric power steering, Violent shaking
Hello,
I have scoured the forums for the information needed to complete the EPS swap on my 04 em2. After gathering the components and installing all the items I'm down to the wiring. Currently my BCU for the EPS rack is wired into:
BLU/white - VSS to A18 white/green
Yellow - ING to E9 yellow/black
RPM - Blue to E26 - Blue
I can hear the BCU click on with the car and I have confirmed voltages, but the issue is that the steering wheel violent vibrates, and with any amount of added pressure on the wheel it rotates full lock to the left then full lock to the right repeatedly. And if I were to let go of the wheel it begins to violent shake again. This is all while sitting idle in my driveway.
Please help!

Re: Electric power steering, Violent shaking
One of the wires to the module is for a malfunction indicator in the cluster, it will give you blink codes for any issues. Might be a good idea to hook it up and see what it thinks is wrong.
Re: Electric power steering, Violent shaking
Having the same issue with a newly installed EPS. Same three wires are connected plus power and ground. There was mention of connecting a wire to see what the light blinks were to identify the issue. Which wire and connect to what?
